Big V Panel Referee and Referee Coach nominations open

BIG V panel/referee coach nominations for 2019 have opened.

With a new season right around the corner, the Technical Officials Commission has opened up nominations for all referees and referee coaches keen to continue their time in the league or take a step up to the panel.

Applying referees for Big V panel must meet the following criteria:

Must have officiated in the league in the previous year OR Must have completed one (1) year on VJBL or CBL (must be A Grade)

OR
Must have been an A Grade Referee for a minimum of three (3) years.

Must be a financial member of the Technical Officials Commission at time of nomination.
Must hold a current Working with Children’s Check and complete a Basketball Victoria Statutory Declaration (applies to referees that are 18 years of age or older at any point during the season).

Must satisfactorily complete the theory and fitness tests run by TOC (25 November and/or 3 February).

 

Prior to completing the nomination, you will need the following information:

  • TOC (VBRA) Number
  • WWC Number and expiry
  • Photo (passport size)
  • Shirt Size

Applying referee coaches must meet the following criteria:

  • Must be a financial member of the Technical Officials Commission at time of nomination.
  • Must be at least a Grade 3 Referee Coach or be a Grade 2 with the aim to complete the next Grade 3 Course.
  • Must hold a current Working with Children’s Check and complete a Basketball Victoria Statutory Declaration (applies to referees that are 18 years of age or older at any point during the season)
