2018 Grand Final referees announced

CULMINATING the season on a high note, the best referees across Victoria have been selected to officiate senior league grand finals and grand final series.

For these hard working officials, these appointments are the result of a strong year’s hard work and is a just reward for their efforts throughout SEABL and Big V competitions.

Basketball Victoria’s TOC Appointments Officer Jo Chu said it was a fantastic achievement for the selected referees to be picked for the last handful of games in the 2018 winter season.

“Grand finals are the pinnacle of a season’s work for referees just as much as the players and coaches,” Chu said. “It’s a great effort to be selected for a grand final series and showcases their dedication and hard work.

“We wish them the best of luck across their grand final series.”

Congratulations to the following Victorian referees who have been appointed to grand final series within senior leagues. So to those who have already completed their series or to the referees preparing for the fortnight ahead, we wish you best in these series.
